Comprehensive Neuropsychological & Psychoeducational Testing
(Preschool-College)

Parents and young adults might seek a comprehensive evaluation if there are concerns regarding learning or academic progress, behavior, social-emotional development, or language functioning. Assessments are helpful to determine if students require extra time for tests, accommodations in the classroom, or if they are equipped to make the transition from one grade to the next.
Evaluations are designed to identify:
  • Learning Disabilities (Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, etc)
  • ADHD/Executive Functioning Deficits
  • Autism Spectrum Disorders/NVLD/Social-Pragmatic Delays
  • Language/Communication Disorders
  • Dysgraphia (Developmental Coordination Disorder)
  • Anxiety, OCD, Depression, Self-Esteem Struggles
  • Processing Speed Deficits (need for extra time)
  • Giftedness
Our reports include all of the information necessary to advocate within the CPSE or school system, seek entrance to private schools or  apply for accommodations with the college board.
Comprehensive evaluations assess a child or young adult's strengths and limitations in the following realms:
  • Cognitive/IQ
  • Academic (reading, mathematics, writing)
  • Language (expressive, receptive, pragmatic)
  • Visual Processing
  • Motor Functioning
  • Learning & Memory
  • Executive Functioning & Attention
  • Social/Emotional/Behavioral Functioning
  • Adaptive Skills

The process includes:
  • Parent Intake Meeting
  • Review of Records
  • Rating Scales for Parents and Teacher(s)
  • Two days of testing (three shorter sessions may be required for very young children)
  • Parent Feedback Session (scheduled approximately 3-weeks from the last day of testing; final report is provided at this time)
Continued consultation is also available to ensure that recommendations are successfully implemented.

Evaluations provide critical information about strengths and areas in need of support so students experience success and increased confidence.
Evaluations are an investment in your child's future.
We are committed to making the process positive and empowering.

Targeted Assessment of Attention & Executive Functions
(Preschool - College)

Often times there have specific concerns about attention, impulse control, hyperactivity, or other areas of executive functioning (planning, organization, emotional regulation, flexibility, working memory, task initiation). In these cases, it makes sense to fully assess attention and executive functioning to determine if a diagnosis of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder is appropriate and make specific recommendations to remediate areas of struggle.

The process includes:
  • Initial Parent Consultation
  • Review of Records
  • Comprehensive Rating Scales
  • One day of testing
  • Feedback Consultation (scheduled approximately 3-weeks from the last day of testing; final report is provided at this time)
Continued consultation is also available to ensure that recommendations are successfully implemented.

Our goal is to provide all of the information needed for parents to fully understand their children and confidently advocate for their needs. Feedback sessions are conversational in nature as there is often a great deal of information to digest and may questions to be answered. We work hard to present findings in a sensitive yet practical fashion so parents leave feeling they have a complete understanding of their child as well as a realistic action plan to address any areas of struggle. We are available to answer any and all follow-up questions and—with consent—routinely follow-up with school personnel, tutors, and other professionals to ensure the report is well understood and recommendations are implemented. When appropriate, specific recommendations regarding educational planning and placement are also made.
