Stephanie O’Leary, Psy.D., is a native of New York and completed her undergraduate training at Ithaca College where she earned a double-major (Biology and Psychology) with research honors in the area of Neuroscience. Stephanie continued her education at the Georgia School of Professional Psychology where she earned a doctoral degree in clinical psychology as well as a specialization in Neuropsychology. She completed supervised trainings at Emory University School of Medicine's Autism Center and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta's Department of Neuropsychology. Stephanie went on to complete an APA accredited internship and fellowship at the Andrus Children's Center in Westchester were she continued providing evidence-based interventions and supervised the site's preschool therapy program. As a licensed psychologist, Stephanie began her private practice in 2008. Since that time, she has provided evidence-based assessment and therapy services for children, adolescents, young adults and parents. She is author of "Parenting in the Real World," an easy-read to help parents successfully manage the demands of the real world while finding joy in their children. She is dedicated to furthering the use of research supported practices and routinely provides supervision to colleagues, psychology interns, and fellows. Stephanie has conducted research in the areas of memory and learning and the emergence of executive functions in preschool aged children. She has provided training f0r area schools and has presented on topics of interest to various parent organizations (CHADD, Local SEPTA Chapters). Stephanie is a professional member of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT), Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS), New York State Psychological Association (NYSPA) and the Westchester County Psychological Association (WCPA). At home, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children (ages 19 & 16), their three dogs, Darwin, Granger, and Kepler, and their flock of hens and ducks. She loves to read, stay active, and enjoys playing the piano and spending time outdoors. |
