Consultation for Parents:
Dr. O'Leary is available to provide consultation support for hard-to-treat cases involving A-D/HD, Executive Functioning Deficits, Learning Struggles, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Mood Disorders, and
Complex Medical Issues including PANDAS/PANS, Lyme and Epilepsy.
She takes into account the fact that you, as parents, know your child best and that your circumstances and experiences are unique. Dr. O'Leary appreciates each child's individual strengths and vulnerabilities, and considers all aspects of development while conceptualizing the best approach to take. She will piece together your child's history, or "story," to make sense of chronic symptoms, anomalies and inconsistencies that might seem puzzling, and identify foundational factors that stand in the way of progress and global health.
Consultation includes a comprehensive review of all records provided, interface with your child's current treatment team and teachers (if consent is provided), and a meeting—in-office or via phone/video call—to review history and goals.
Dr. O'Leary will provide her recommendations at the time of the meeting. Suggestions will be practical and prioritized so you can take action in a sensible, step-wise fashion to best support your son or daughter.
Dr. O'Leary will be available for follow-up consultation if you wish to include her as an ongoing member of your child or teen's team. She is a dedicated and effective advocate and considers it a privilege to work closely with families to help children reach their full potential.
- Are you seeking a 2nd opinion to make sure nothing is overlooked in your child's treatment plan?
- Are you overwhelmed by the process of therapy and feel like the current approach isn't working?
