Kaitlin McSwiggan, Psy.D., is a Certified School Psychologist and Clinical Psychology Fellow who earned her doctoral degree in school psychology at Fairleigh Dickinson University. She holds a Masters Degree from St. John's University and is certified as a school psychologist in both New York and New Jersey. Kaitlin recently completed her clinical internship at The Children's School for Early Development - Arc Westchester, under the supervision of Dr. Stephanie O'Leary. Concurrently, she completed a training program at the Westchester Institute for Human Development focusing on evidence-based child therapy and assessment techniques.
Kaitlin has extensive experience conducting assessments with children and providing evidence-based therapy support, both individually and in groups. She has worked with children from infancy through adolescence and has treated issues such as anxiety, depression, A-D/HD, behavior struggles, and developmental issues. She routinely participates in CPSE and CSE meetings to advocate for appropriate services and interventions. Kaitlin is also a skilled behavior therapist and currently supervises several special education classrooms where she provides individual therapy for students. In addition, she routinely conducts Functional Behavioral Analyses (FBAs) and implements Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs) that incorporate positive, empowering strategies fro children. Kaitlin also provides consultative support for teachers, service providers, and parents/families. She is a skilled presenter and is often called upon to provide training workshops for teachers and professionals.
Kaitlin continues to work as a Certified School Psychologist and Clinical Psychology Fellow under the supervision of Dr. Stephanie O'Leary at WPS.
